The new services allow customers and staff to remain socially distant and safe, while still getting what they need to make lockdown more bearable.

You can book a slot to use a computer at Inverurie, Peterhead, Banchory, Fraserburgh, Ellon and Stonehaven libraries.

Hour-long slots allow 45 minutes of use and the chance for staff to clean the area between users, who are asked to wear face coverings.

The opportunity to collect (or have delivered) new books, hearing aid batteries from the NHS and Curricular Support Resources has been very popular so far.

While Live Life Aberdeenshire’s digital library services have been very well used during lockdown, there has been great demand for increased access to materials only available in libraries, as well as access to public computers.

The new services allow customers and staff to remain socially distant and safe, while still getting what they need to make lockdown more bearable.

A new online system has been developed alongside an easy-to-use phone service to book time slots and resources. A “Live Chat” function is also available on the Live Life Aberdeenshire website. Customers can return items to any of the participating sites.

You can call the Live Life Aberdeenshire helpline to book slots and for more information on (01467) 532929 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Further information on “Click and Collect”, doorstep delivery and Public PC access is also
