Dene was joined by his close friend Bruce Jones, better known to Coronation Street fans as Les Battersby.

Crowds flocked to the event and the Waterside Inn was full soon after the doors opened, with most of them choosing to dress up in 80s-themed fancy dress.

Black Lace played for over an hour and treated the crowd to all of their hits including Wig Wam Bam, The Conga, Music Man, Gangbang, Hokey Cokey and Agadoo.

Dene finished off the set with the song he sang on BBC’s ‘The Voice’, Never Give Up On A Good Thing.

An iPad Mini was raffled off at the event which raised £580 for the Friends of Anchor support group.

Dene said he had a fantastic time and loves coming up to Peterhead to play, this being the second time after a sold out show last year.

Dene will be back in the North-east on Friday, August 21, at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre for the Buchan Community Radio fundraiser in aid of the station and Clan Cancer Support.
