NEW Deer Community Association will present the award-winning Tangram Theatre Company with their latest hit ‘The Origin of Species…Being a Musical Comedy about Charles Darwin” next week.
The show will be staged in New Deer public hall on Tuesday, April 26, at 7.30pm, and is suitable for young and old alike.
It tells the story of how Charles Darwin came to discover the secrets of evolution and why it took him more than 20 years before he plucked up the courage to publish his remarkable idea.
It’s a show packed with big ideas, terrible puns, brilliant physical comedy and six cracking original songs about everything, from blasted boring barnacles to the perils of marrying your own cousin.
The Origin of Species...was created to celebrate the bicentenary of Darwin’s birth and the 150 year anniversary since his revolutionary book was published.
Tangram Theatre Company is an award-winning theatre company formed in 2006 who have already produced nine critically acclaimed shows.
