Devenick Dairy, Mackintosh of Glendaveny, James Rizza and Sons Ltd, Hamlyn’s of Scotland Ltd and Mackie’s of Scotland will be exhibiting in the Taste of Grampian area at the 2014 Royal Highland Show at Ingliston, near Edinburgh from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 June.
The show is a key event in Scotland’s food and farming calendar.
For companies exhibiting, it is a great opportunity for people to see, try and buy their products.
James Rizza and Sons Ltd are celebrating 100 years in business this year, and have launched their “Are you a golden spoon winner?” competition, with 100 prizes to be won.
And, as a nod to their 100-year heritage, Rizzas will be selling ice cream from a traditional, wooden ice cream cart at the show.
Mackintosh of Glendaveny will have chefs cooking on their stand, giving hints and tips as they create dishes using not only Mackintosh’s rapeseed oil, but products from the other companies in the Taste of Grampian area.
Founder of Mackintosh of Glendaveny, Gregor Mackintosh, commented: “We are excited about having the cookery demos on our stand; it will create a real buzz, and give people a flavour of what our local food companies have to offer.”
The companies will be exhibiting in the Food and Drink Hall, in the Taste of Grampian area, stands AB1 through to AB5.
