The film of the classic 1932 novel Sunset Song by Lewis Grassic Gibbon is being shown in New Deer next weekend.
The film, based in Aberdeenshire before the First World War, will be screened in New Deer Public Hall on Sunday, January 31, at 2pm.
Sue Robertson, Volunteer Promoter, said: “We are really pleased to be showing this so soon after its release and expect it to be popular.
“Tickets are £5 on sale at the Chemist and Food for Thought 01771 644217/644366 and online at www.neatshows.org.uk and will also be available on the door.
“Wine, soft drinks, ice cream and popcorn will be on sale as usual.”
Sue added: “We are supported by North East Arts Touring (NEAT) and are very grateful to them as we wouldn’t be able to continue showing films and having theatre performances without their help.”
