Spooky fun at Buchanhaven heritage centre

Buchanhaven Heritage Society is celebrating after a very positive Hallowe’en event which saw large crowds visit the centre and some great costumes coming through thedoor worn by the young (and not so young), which added to the atmosphere created by the team with huge support from Kathleen Kaminski.

As visitors entered the hall they were met with a ghostly laugh to set the scene before entering the haunted hall, local graveyard, frightful butchers shop and of course the opportunity to sit inDracula’s coffin.

Young and old entered into the ‘spirit’ of the event with some fantastic memories being created in the ‘auld haunted schoolie’ which now looks set to be an annual part of their events calander.

Society vice-chair, Elizabeth Milne, said: “We were delighted with the large turn out as the team of volunteers had put in a lot of work ahead of the event, so seeing excited faces on the day made itall worthwhile

“Our thanks also go to Kathleen Kaminski who provided a lot of items to create the rightatmosphere and to Stephanie Johstone who was a wonderful ‘Bat girl’ on the day.

“We sincerely hope our visitors had a great time and look forward to making this an annual eventfor all age groups to enjoy,” she added.
