A heritage exhibition will be held at Port Erroll Village Hall in Cruden Bay next Saturday.
Photographs, memorabilia and press cuttings illustrating the history of Port Erroll and Cruden Bay will be on display from 10am to 4pm.
The exhibition is run by the Port Erroll Heritage Group.
Organiser, Mike Shepherd, said: “The area can boast an extraordinary history - the Viking battle of 1012; Johnson and Boswell’s visit to Slains Castle, Bram Stoker wrote Dracula in the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel, the first air flight across the North Sea started from Cruden Bay beach and more.
“Old photographs will be on display illustrating this and also ordinary life in Cruden Bay, the fisherman, the farmers and the local shop keepers.
“Tea, coffee and cakes will also be served in what promises to be a day out to remember.”
