PETERHEAD Pantomime Group are looking for a musical director to lead up to 100 performers in this year’s production of Robinson Crusoe.
Director Carol Forman (54), is looking for a volunteer who can play the piano, has an interesting in performing arts and would be available for rehearsals on a Wednesday evenings and Sundays from August 17.
A panto performer and director for more than 20 years, Carol says putting on a show is challenging but a fantastic and rewarding experience.
She said: “When the show all comes together it is just magical. We are looking for someone to share in that magic.
“The position would be perfect for someone with enthusiasm who can lead a group and knows how to have fun. Perhaps a music student would benefit from the experience. This is the first year that we have had trouble finding a musical director. We look forward to hearing from anyone who loves performing.”
Last year’s pantomime was a huge success, with a 75 strong company, including kids as young as eight, wowing audiences with their rendition of Jack in the Beanstalk.
She added: “This year’s production of Robinson Crusoe promises to be fun and entertaining. Audiences are usually made up of a lot of children so there are loads of opportunities for audience participation. It’s a perfect start to the busy festive season.”
