New gigs by four headlining funnymen are to boost laughter levels at Aberdeen’s Music Hall and Lemon Tree later this year and into the next.
The comedy shows announced by Aberdeen Performing Arts for the Lemon Tree include double Chortle Award nominee Nish Kumar on Saturday, November 14, Scotland’s kilted favourite Craig Hill on Saturday January 30, and Ireland’s top comedian Tommy Tiernan on Friday, March 11.
And across at the city’s Music Hall, on his first stand-up tour in four years, punslinger Tim Vine takes his show, Tim Timinee Tim Timinee Tim Tim To You to the city centre stage on Tuesday, October 13.
Writer, actor, comedian and presenter Tim Vine, known for The Sketch Show,
Not Going Out, Don’t Blow the Inheritance, Blandings and Celebrity Squares, won the award for the best joke at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2010 and 2014 and was runner up in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Critically acclaimed comic and internationally famed meme, Nish Kumar has three rave reviewed solo stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to his credit and has been seen on the small screen in The Alternative Comedy Experience, Live at the Comedy Store, Live at the Edinburgh Festival, Sweat The Small Stuff and Alan Davies As Yet Untitled.
In addition Nish is also one half of comedy duo The Gentlemen of Leisure.
Hot on the heels of last year’s hysterically funny, sold-out national tour, Craig Hill unleashes his new show Playing with my Selfie on comedy fans for an evening of gloriously camp, no-holds-barred comedy.
Irish comedian, actor and writer Tommy Tiernan, now in his 20th year as a stand up, will be taking his latest show Out of the Whirlwind to The Lemon Tree Lounge next spring.
His television credits include appearing in Father Ted as Father Kevin.
Tickets for all four gigs are available online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
Don’t miss them!
