An exciting event to give audiences an up-lifting experience in the creative arts is taking place in Aberdeen this weekend.
The innovative collaborative venture by Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) and Aberdeen City Council’s Creative Learning team on Saturday, March 7 in the city’s Music Hall, is a celebration of the success of the Lift Arts and Wellbeing project.
And people of all ages are invited to drop in between 11am and 4pm to see what’s been happening in the project’s creative workshops across the city.
They will have the chance to take a look at unique textile art works, to explore the natural world and build a den and to take part in music and story-telling.
“In the afternoon, we are also playing host to the Big Community Sing Song,” adds Kate Latham of ACC’s Creative Learning Team. “Singers from across the city who have never sung as one group will come together to sing a medley of feel good songs and get you feeling up-Lift-ed!
“Anyone can come along and join in the fun at the rehearsals at 1.15pm or just to listen at the end results at 2.30pm.”
