With just 10 weeks to go until showtime, rehearsals are well underway for Peterhead Panto Group.
Following last year’s successful production of Cinderella, the group are hoping to wow Blue Toon audiences with their very own story of The Snow Queen.
The script, written by Angela Ireland and Dr Ian Small, is based in and around Peterhead, and it is guaranteed to bring many laughs.
Speaking to the Buchanie, Angela said: “We started rehearsing at the end of August and everything is going well.
“We have 10 weeks to go and just 20 rehearsals left but everyone is getting on well.
“We have a lot of new and old faces taking part in the production, and we had 110 children audition for just 50 places in our Chorus.
“Selecting the final 50 was a very hard decision to make as there are lots of talented kids in Peterhead.”
Peterhead Panto Group’s production of The Snow Queen will kick off at the Community Theatre on Saturday, December 6, and will run until Saturday, December 13.
Block bookings can be taken on Wednesday, October 22, from 7pm at Peterhead Community Theatre.
Block bookings for groups of ten or more can also be taken on the same night.
Discounts will be given for group bookings of 50 or more too.
Tickets go on general sale on Monday, October 27, and they are available from the Peterhead Community Centre reception.
