Preparations are now well underway for Christmas in Buchanhaven 2014.

Following two successful meetings with a range of local groups and keen individuals, the Buchanhaven Heritage Centre looks set to bring the true meaning of Christmas alive with the following events already into the final planning phase.

A Christmas Craft Fair will start the season off with a wide range of arts, crafts and performing arts on Saturday, November 29.

A Christmas Cake and a tree decorating competition will take place on Sunday, November 30 for all to take part in and enjoy, and on Saturday, December 13, a Christmas Evening will take place at the Centre, with carols and songs for all to join.

Some surprise visits will take place to identified locations across the town which will hopefully bring the Christmas spirit to many who may miss out otherwise.

The Centre will close with their famous Carol Service which will be opened in a very special way on Saturday, December 20.

Buchanhaven will certainly be full of Christmas spirit this year and the team hope visitors will enjoy all the events to unfold.

Alex Geddes, chair of the society, said: “We are delighted to release our events for Christmas 2014 and hope they will form the basis for future events in the years ahead.

“Christmas is a very special time of year and it should be filled with memories for the young and old to share in the future.

“We will do our very best to make those memories special for visitors and look forward to sharing our events with friends old and new.”
