Treat the family to an enjoyable day out this Father’s Day with the Aden Country Park Midsummer Festival.
There will be a range of family friendly activities, facilities and stalls on offer including a farmers market, Tam O Shunter children’s train rides, live music from the Ugie Folk Club and jazz by the Tattie Sacks, vintage and classic vehicles, face painting, and craft stalls.
The event takes place on Sunday, June 21 from 11am to 4pm, in the beautiful surroundings of Aden Country Park in Mintlaw.
Other event activities are to include access to the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, an opportunity to see rare breed animals from Rare Breeds Scotland, along with a chance for the kids to let off steam on a mega bouncy slide and the ever popular children’s play area.
The Midsummer Festival and Father’s Day event will also be complemented by a delicious selection of light lunches, home baking and hot and cold drinks from the recently refurbished Aden Café, now operated by local business partnership, Joanna and Noel Gall, of The Lodge, Strichen.
Neil Shirran, Aden Country Park Development Worker, said: “This event should prove a real hit. It has been designed to be a family friendly occasion with something for all to enjoy, not forgetting the dads on this their special day.”
The event is free but there may be charges for some of the activities.
The Midsummer Festival event is brought to you through partnership working between the Friends of Aden, Buchan Development Partnership (BDP) and Aberdeenshire Council.
