Entries sought for North-east music festival

The syllabus for 2014 North East of Scotland Music Festival is now available.

Now in its 91st year, the coveted festival continues to showcase the undisputed talent of the North-east with its many classes including music, drama and dance!

This year’s festival will take place on Friday and Saturday, March 14-15 for Scottish Country Dance and from Monday to Friday, June 2-5 for music, speech and drama classes.

The syllabus for this year’s festival is now available on the new website at www.aberdeenmusicfestival.co.uk/index.htm

The festival was founded by Stanford Terry, Professor of History at Aberdeen University, in order to encourage music-making and performance in the north-east of Scotland.

The motto of the festival is “Not to gain a prize but to pace one another on the road to excellence” and it has been doing just that for the last 89 years.
