Aberdeenshire Council warmly welcomes you and your family to a community and family celebration of some of Peterhead’s much loved artefacts from Aberdeenshire Museums Collection.
The celebration will be held on Saturday, March 21 at Arbuthnot Museum, Peterhead, and will run from 11am until 2pm.
Join us and see how the town and its people have changed over the years.
Over 400 newly-digitised images of everyday people and places in the Peterhead and surrounding area spanning 80 years will be on display, as well as other objects from the collection which reflect the local fishing and whaling heritage.
A spokesperson from Aberdeenshire Council said: “In Aberdeenshire we collect all sorts of objects that reflect the people, culture and environment of Peterhead, of Aberdeenshire and the wider world.
“We record information about the collections, care for them and share them with you.
“Join us and see how the town and its people have changed over the years.”
Those who would like to attend are encouraged to being a photographic image of Peterhead that you would like to share and that would help the Aberdeenshire Museums team build their contemporary collections.
A light lunch will be provided on the day.
