Modo has announced the launch of CircoModo programmes in Peterhead and Mintlaw.
Running every week throughout the year, CircoModo is a visionary programme that uses the thrills and skills of circus to empower, enable, engage and inspire.
The workshops are free and open to everyone of Academy age.
Participants will learn juggling, plate spinning, tightwire, clowning, acrobalance and more, while building trust, confidence and teamwork.
Young people will be accredited for their achievements, and given the opportunity to perform at local events.
Alongside the sessions Modo will also be running a peer mentoring programme for young people who want to learn how to lead workshops and develop their employability skills. Separate training and accreditation will be provided for this.
Modo North East is a social enterprise that uses high quality engagement in circus and street theatre as a catalyst for social and community change.
Having worked in the North East since 2009, this year Modo has set up a permanent base in Aberdeenshire.
CircoModo will run in Peterhead from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesdays at the Rescue Hall, Peterhead, and from 3.30pm to 5.30pm Tuesdays at Gym 1, Mintlaw Academy.
The cost is free and it is open to all young people of academy age.
