The Buchanhaven Heritage Society will host their latest exhibition this Saturday at the Buchanhaven Heritage Centre.
A host of unseen images and artefacts will be on display from 10am to 4pm, and once the display is over the items will be returned to the archives.
Preparations are also well underway for the festive period and an announcement on the events during this period is imminent.
The team will also be hosting buttery mornings once a month starting at the end of October and with busy evening classes now in place the Centre looks once more to be the heart of the community.
Work started in the area back in 2012 with the first ever Planning for Real Event being the basis for the area’s Community Action Plan and with the tasks identified in this plan now complete the team are looking at a second such event sometime in 2017.
Alex Geddes, chair of the society, said: “We are really looking forward to this latest event, which will also see similar events staged by Port Erroll and Torry heritage groups on the same day.
“With preparations now also well underway for the festive period it is again a busy period for the society and as we look forward to 2017 it is clear more exciting times await th2e group and the wider area.
He added: “We hope many will turn up on the day to enjoy the images and artefacts and support the Centre as we look towards refurbishing the utility room with work set to start on that on September 19.”
