Legendary comedian Billy Connolly is to begin his new High Horse Tour with two nights at Aberdeen’s Music Hall.
Arguably the UK’s most influential comedian of all time and certainly Scotland’s most famous funnyman, he will play the Music Hall – the venue where he first wore his big banana boots back in 1975 - on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 September.
Tickets are restricted to six per customer and are on sale now at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
The show starts at 8pm and is age restricted to 14+ years.
“We are thrilled to have Billy Connolly begin his latest tour with us at the Music Hall – although he is a global figure, we feel he is one of our own and the world did first see his big banana boots on our stage!” said Aberdeen Performing Arts press manager Joyce Summers.
“When he last played the Music Hall five years ago, the tickets were instantly snapped by fans who burned up our phone lines and besieged the Music Hall, so we fully expect the 2,600 up for grabs for the September nights to fly out the door.”
Billy is known the world over as a stand-up comedian, actor, musician, TV presenter and artist.
Aside from starring in numerous films and TV series, Billy has toured worldwide continuously for the last 50 years, performing to an audience of over 10 million.
