A motorbike fanatic and former engineer has launched an exhibition of his artwork at Peterhead’s Arbuthnot Museum.
Situated above the town’s library, the museum has given over a large exhibition space for Mike Brown to display his paintings.
Mr Brown, who was born in the Govan area of Glasgow, worked as an engineer in the oil and gas sector before his retirement.
He said: “I was really lucky to get this exhbition slot - someone pulled out at the last minute and the staff here have done a fantastic job of hanging my work.
“Although the works are for sale my aim is to indulge myself.
“The education I got in my school, which was across from one of the shipyards, set me on my way.
“The only way to get out of Govan was a good education and art was my opportunity.”
The exhibition is open now until Monday, August 25 at the Arbuthnot Museum in St Peter Street.
