A very Blue Toon comedy night

Peterhead will play host to some of the best comedy acts in Britian this weekend.

For one night only, the event, organised by WOL Comedy Nights, is taking place at Buchanhaven Hearts Club and is set to be a laugh-a-minute evening with comedians from as far afield as London and as close as New Deer.

The headline act is Ian Cognito, a 30-year veteran of the comedy circuit who has never failed to be a hit with the crowds.

He is best known by other comedians for shying away from TV work despite many offers. He stays true to what he feels he does best, live stand-up comedy.

Also taking part is Luke Montague, star of the Channel 4 hit tv series The Undateables, which followed Luke on his quest to find love despite living with the difficulties of tourettes syndrome.

MC for the evening is local man Wray Thomson, most famed for giving the Northeast a giggle with his Fifty Shades of Fraserburgh chapters.

Also on the bill is Scott Ironside, an up-and-coming TV presenter, Jim Smith a Perthshire farmer who is gathering a large following on the comedy scene, and Gregor Wappler a rib-tickling young man with a bright future ahead of him.

WOL Comedy Nights brings first class comedy to people who would normally have to pay large ticket prices, or travel a long way to see it, right to their doorstep for a fraction of the cost.

So don’t miss out on the event of the year for Peterhead. A fantastic night for fans of comedy nights or for people who have never been before.

The evening will be held on Saturday, June 8, at Buchanhaven Hearts Club.

Doors open at 8pm and entry is £8, which is payable on the night. So why not go along for a fun-filled evening!
