A LOCAL lad is looking for companies to sponsor him as he awaits the arrival of his new Ninja Kart.

Josh Bruce, who will be five next month, is hoping to follow in his dad Kevin’s footsteps by becoming a successful racer.

Kevin currently participates in races all over the UK including Crimond, Knockhill and Northern Ireland.

Josh’s mum Lynsey said: “The Ninja Kart will be plain so we are looking for companies to sponsor him and we can advertise their name on it.

“We are looking for sponsors because we travel around the country to participate in different races and the running costs for the cars cost a lot of money.

“We have a lorry to transport Kevin’s car so we might get Josh his own trailer for the Ninja Kart when it arrives.”

Josh is motor-mad as Lynsey said: “He has no interest in football or other sports and his favourite films are Cars and Cars 2.”

She added: “Because his initials are JB he always teases that he is Jenson Button. We took him to the Birmingham Autosport show and he got to sit in Jenson’s car and hold his helmet.”

Racing has always run in the family as Kevin said: “My dad used to race and I must have been Josh’s age when I started and Lynsey used to race in the ladies races.

Kevin would like to thank his sponsors: Alex Aiken & Son Ltd, Nortruck Services, Craigholme Properties, McIntosh Plant Hire Ltd, Peterhead Motors, Vulcan Engineering, Glow Hair Salon, Fishes Castle, Grant Water Group agent for BIBO water systems, S.S Walker Heavy Recovery, Randall Motorsport, Zanres, Peterhead Scottish Week, SRD Race Engines, Asco Transport and Brian Evans Signs Imagineering.
