Peterhead Amateur Swimming Club recently hosted its annual prizegiving disco at the Balmoor Function Suite.
Swimmers and parents alike enjoyed a wonderful fun-filled evening when the achievements of all swimmers were celebrated.
The disco was well attended and those present thoroughly appreciated the efforts of the parents who helped make it such a success.
Pictured, showing that hard work and determination pays off, are the trophy winners from 2014 club and distance championships.
The club is proud and privileged to take ownership of three new trophies to be awarded annually:
Pat and Jeannie Watson, who have a long and distinguished relationship with PASC (indeed Jeannie continues to coach swimmers three times weekly), donated two trophies.
The first were two ‘Butterfly Cups’ to recognise the abilities of the club’s most advanced and skilful nine years-old butterfly swimmers.
This year’s most deserving winners were Skye Strachan (9) and Josh Allardyce (9).
Meanwhile, ‘The Asterion Cup’ for endeavour was donated by Mrs Helen Butters in memory of her late husband, Bobby.
After much deliberation among the coaches, since all swimmers work hard and represent the club so well, Lauren Willox (15), was announced as the worthy winner of the cup.
PASC and its swimming families are very proud of all swimmers and are looking forward to another successful year in 2015
