A team from Peterhead Amateur Swimming Club enjoyed success at the Deveron Sprints meet earlier in March.
Coach Kevin Henderson took 14 of the club’s swimmers along and the team took home 11 medals and a host of personal best times.
The team was made up of: Blair and Erin Reekie, Kayleigh, Sarah and Elaine Murray, Jacob and Joseph Willox, Benjamin Dougal, Lauren Davidson, Bobby-Drew Buchan, Harvey Buchan, Ewan May, Caitlin Davies, Darren Ritchie and last but not least coach Kevin Henderson.
The mixed medley relay team of Blair, Sarah, Harvey, Kayleigh, Elaine, Benjamin Caitlin and Kevin took home the bronze medal.
Individual Medals were awarded to:
Elaine - five gold;
Ewan - 1 silver and 1 bronze;
Caitlin - 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze.
The top three personal best times for the day were:
Harvey -9.66s 50m Fly;
Bobby-Drew -6.52s 100m IM;
Ewan -5.28s 100m IM.
It was an absolute fantastic day for everyone involved including all Peterhead Amateur Swimming Club coaches, STOs and supporters.
Coach Kevin Henderson said: “Our swimmers are an absolute credit to the club and you make us all very proud. Keep it up.”
Peterhead Amateur Swimmin Club caters for all abilities of swimmer, from those you are learning to swim for the very first time right through to competitive swimmers competing at Scottish, UK and international events.
The club are now taking names for their waiting list.
Swimmers and non swimmers from the age of six upwards can register.
