Running club members are busy both on and off the road

PETERHEAD Running Club members have been busy on and off the road with four first places, age group wins and PBs.

Allan Reid retained his Knockhill 8.5 mile title. Allan was also fourth at the Running Shop Beach 10k, where Ally Murray was first in his age group. Duncan Lynch and Stuart Mutch also competed.

At the Peterhead Lifeboat 10k, Stuart Mutch took first place at the charity event, with Stuart Main and Duncan Lynch also taking part, Stuart setting a new PB time.

At the Broch 10k, Stuart won his second 10k in two weeks. John Robertson was first in his age group (fourth overall), Duncan Lynch, Stuart and Carolann Main also took their place at the Broch. There was a new PB for Stuart Mutch.

Up north John Diffey had a second place for his age group at the Glen Moray ten-mile event. He also ran the Roseisle and the Quarrelwood races held at Forres, the 10k at Laggan and the Dochfour Dash Trail run.

Terry Christie took the honours at the 13-mile run and 17-mile bike at the Nairnshire Challenge.

Neil MacRitchie headed down to Milngavie to run the 96 miles of the West Highland Way to Fort William, while Neil and Allan Reid also ran the 28-mile Lairig Ghru from Braemar to Aviemore.

At the Ythan Challenge, Stuart and Carolann Main took part at the Ellon multi-terrain adventure 11.5k event.
