Peterhead Boxing Club staged a fundraising boxing evening at the Station Hotel, Ellon in aid of the Step up for Dylan campaign on Friday, November 29.
Peterhead boy Dylan Parsons, 2, has recently been diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy.
He wears leg splints and receives weekly physiotherapy but unfortunately this is not enough and if left untreated, would result in him being wheelchair bound for life.
After researching treatments, Dylan’s parents found an operation in America that would improve his mobility.
Phil Anderson, Director of Ellon-based Phil Anderson Financial Services and committee member at Peterhead Boxing Club, said: “The evening was a tremendous success, my firm donated three items to the campaign auction which raised around £4,000.
“We are proud to support local causes and as Dylan’s mum and dad are two of my clients, I was delighted to support their fundraising event.
“Many of the boxers donated their expenses to the appeal and it was a very successful evening.”
