The start of Peterhead Athletics Club’s 2015 season has seen senior members take part in the Run4it cross country series and the RAF Kinloss to RAF Lossiemouth half marathon.
Conditions were good for this event and although there were no winning places, everyone celebrated the launch of the new club vest by crossing the finish line in personal best times for the distance.
Since the start of the new season, the junior section of the club has been growing from strength to strength with over 50 juniors along to recent training sessions.
The club has also been strengthened by the arrival of Sophie Biers to the area who is a qualified Level 2 coach.
In the Fraserburgh Running Club & Active Schools North Aberdeenshire Schools Cross Country 2014/2015 Series, the club’s Peterhead school pupils are doing well with Ellie McGee leading the Primary 4 girls and Cameron Roberston leading the Primary4 boys, whilst five girls from Peterhead are heading the S1-S6 table.
