Cruden Bay bowlers turned out in force for the opening day of the season recently.
The sun shone and several new members were welcomed.
The formal opening was performed by the club’s eldest member and ‘Freeman of the Green’, 90 year-old Jimmy Mathers who threw the first jack.
The first bowl was delivered in fine style by the youngest member Kayleigh Campbell.
Twelve ends were then completed in glorious weather followed by tea and a fine piece afterwards.
