Peterhead’s Ryan Donald, Anthony Smyth and John Proctor have been training to take on their rivals at the Immortals 4 pro and amateur MMA event that will take place on Saturday, February 28.

The Local fighters will take on opponents from all over Scotland and they are confident that they will do well thanks to the training they have received from their professional teacher, Arek Zeinkiewicz, who is the head coach of the Immortals Gold Team.

Ryan, Anthony and John are proud to be representing the Titan Gold Team, who have been created as part of the Immortals Gold Team Lineage.

Ryan and John practice their moves

Team member Ryan said: “We can’t wait, I took part in the last Immortals event back in July 2014 so I am sure it will be a great night.

“I have been practicing Hung Ga Kung Fu in Peterhead for five years and I have also taken up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which is important for any MMA Fighter and Sanshou.”

Ryan is set to take on Simon Kelly of Team Parente in the Lightweight division.

He added: “Anthony is a great Thai boxer and he has a good fighting record of eight wins and one loss, but this is his first MMA fight and we are confident that he will do well.”

Commenting on his fight, John said: “I’m happy to be fighting for a good cause and I would encourage those who haven’t tried Mixed Martial Arts to give it a go because this is a hobby that we
all enjoy.”
