Plenty of action in Nightclub League

IN the Deejays Nightclub League, St Drostans faced Mormond Thistle and it ended all square with both sides netting twice.

Scoring for the home side was Charlie Knight and manager Iain Summers and for the away side was Michael Cardno with a brace.

In another league Game Faithlie United entertained Bellslea and it ended with the home side winning by the odd goal in seven.

The home scorers were Ryan Whyte with a brace and one apiece from Dale Allan and John McKinnon.

Replying for the away side were Jordan Clark, Bob Stephen and Gary Summers. Bellslea ended the match with ten men as Arron Gall was sent from the field of play.

New Pitsligo had a home league match against Elizabethan Link Up and this ended with a narrow win for the home side by 4-3.

The winning goals came from Neil Christie, Gilbert Patterson (pen), Craig Smith and Martin Simpson and replying for the away side were Martin Robertson, Neil Holland and Scott Duthie.

In the Victoria Coaches Cup , St Combs faced New Deer for a place in the quarter-final and the home side took the lead with a goal from John Smith.

New Deer drew level before half time with a goal from Kyle Tait.

Into the second half and the home side took the lead on 65 minutes through David Buchan.

New Deer hit back again with Barry Crighton levelling the score at 2-2.

A minute later and the home side led again for the third time with Joe Dollman finding the net.

John Smith and Joe Dollman added a further two goals to end the scoring.

New Deer goalkeeper Richard Sanders was in excellent form throughout the match.
