THIS was the first competitive game since last November for the Peterhead youngsters and the team was glad to get the game played.
The game was to be played at Perth but had to be changed at the last minute due to the continued run of poor weather in Perthshire so staff and players of Berwick Rangers made the long journey North.
The game was played at Kaimhill on the 3G surface to ensure that the game went ahead in what turned out to be torrential rain - not a great day for football.
Peterhead dominated throughout and thoroughly deserved the win despite a few shaky moments in defence.
Peterhead ran out 6-3 victors and at one point were 4-1 up before being clawed back to 4-3. Two late goals secured victory for the boys.
Goalscorers were Jack Presley (3), Connor Legge and Grant Hepburn (2).
This was a fantastic performance from the boys with special mentions to Greg at left back who was very good going forward and to Lewis wide right who ran their defence ragged for the whole game.
