This week’s round up features McAllister’s 12 goals of Christmas, transfer news, Coxy injury update and a word on free tickets to the Berwick match.

RORY’S 12 GOALS OF CHRISTMAS - It took the hitman a while to get going but his hattrick against Stirling has put McAllister in pole position for League 2’s golden boot award.

It was not until the visit of bottom-of-the-table Queen’s Park that he could open his account but since he has rekindled the form that propelled Peterhead to the promotion places in that incredible end-of-season run last year. This was his first hattrick and other highlights have included an equalising penalty against Berwick in October, a brace of goals in one minute at derby rivals Elgin and another double against Montrose.

TOON WILL LOOK TO BRING IN PLAYERS - As the January transfer window approaches, McInally has openly admitted he would like to add to his squad. The Blue Toon boss is also eager to extend the loan of Raith’s Reece Donaldson. McInally said: “I’m not going to rule anything out. I think another midfielder, in a perfect world we would have a left sided player but they are so hard to find.”

COXY ON THE MEND AFTER BONE BREAK - Jim McInally has told the Buchanie that winger David Cox’s metatarsal injury is healing as expected.

The 24-year-old former Alloa man snapped the bone in his foot after falling awkwardly during Peterhead’s 1-1 draw with Berwick.

McInally said: “He’s where he should be at this stage but he’s not ready to start light training.”

FREE ENTRY TO TOON V BERWICK GAME - Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust are sponsoring Peterhead’s League 2 visit to Shielfield Park on Saturday, December 28. The Trust has pledged £1,000 to Berwick to cover the expected gate receipts and let all fans - home and away - in for free. Fans will be invited to make a £2 donation as they pass through the turnstiles to boost Trust funds.
