Maud 1

Culter 2

This was a spirited performance by Maud in the McLeman Cup Final against the league champions.

With only 13 players to choose from, Maud battled to the end andthe players were a credit to their team.

It was end to end for the first 10 minutes with no clear chance.

Maud took the lead on 15 minutes when a mistake by Kelly let in Duguid to score

Culter drew level on 23 minutes when a long ball forward was latched onto by McBain who slotted past Barbour. Just before half time Culter went 2-1 in front when Murray powered in a header.

Maud made a change at half time with Bain replaced by Rae who nearly scored only to be denied by the woodwork.

Another long ball forward caught out the Maud defence and McAllister was clean through on goal and brought good save by Barbour.

Culter were very lucky to end the match with 11 men after substitute Rintoul head butted a Maud player and then McAllister after being booked earlier in the game went right through the back of a Maud defender only for the match official to take no action.
