Mintlaw Academy Under 15 girl footballers Molly Irvine and Georgia Park took part in three matches during the trials against teams representing the East, West and Sout of Scotland.

The North girls won their games against the East and South to qualify for the final trial in Glasgow.

Unfortunately, the North lost 1-2 to the West but both Mintlaw girls played well and Georgia scored a great goal in the final.

Molly and Georgia are members of the very successful Mintlaw Academy U15 team which is undefeated this season.

The team won 2-0 against Monifieth H.S last week to reach the last 16 in the Scottish Cup.

Tamara Simpson scored the two Mintlaw goals against Monifieth which took them into the next round of the competition.

They now play Penicuik H.S. in the next round.
