Longside had Cruden Bay as visitors on Saturday in Grill League Cup.
In the second minute Gatt made a fine save to keep out a Fraser Davidson volley from 18 yards.
The visitors failed to clear a high ball into the area and Fraser Davidson lashed it into the net.
Cruden Bay replied minutes later when the home defence failed to deal with a long clearance from Gatt and Blair Deakin headed past Flinn.
Longside wenton the attack again and Fraser Davidson collected a Mackie cross but his shotwas straight at the keeper.
Longside regained the lead in the 20th minute when Raymond Taylor got the ball 25 yards out and he slotted it away in the corner of the net.
Cruden Bay were awarded a free kick in a dangerous position just outside the box butStainton headed Foley’s kick clear.
The home side increased their lead on 28 minutes when Fraser Davidson weaved his way past two defenders before firing the ball into the net.
A Mackie corner was met by Taylor 25 yards out and his stunning volley waswell saved by Gatt.
At the other end following a corner, the ball broke for Lawrence, but his shot was well saved at point blank range by Flinn.
A Butcher header was clearedoff the line and then Foley’s 25 yard free kick went narrowly wide.
Two minutes into the second half a Taylor cross was just too high for Fraser Davidson and he headed the ball over the bar.
Longside did have the ball in the net again, but the referee’s assistant had his flag up for offside.
Munro did well when he went past two defenders but his shot was saved by Gatt.
A stunning strike from Foley brought out an equally stunning save from Flinn.
The home side scored a fourth in 67 minutes when Sea Butcher rose to head home a Munro cross.
A Fraser Davidson chip shot was cleared off the line by Kelly.
Longside were awraded a penalty when Butcher was fouled in the box. He got up to take the kick but his effort was well saved by Gatt.
Mark Stainton then scored number five for Longside with a fine solo effort taking the ball from his own half before dinking it over the keeper.
In the final minute a Mackie cross found Fraser Davidson and he notched up his hat-trick when his shot was deflected into the net.
This was another good result for Longside against a young Cruden Bay side.
Fraser Davidson, apart from his hattrick, was a constantmenace to the visitors defence.
Tonight (Tuesday) Longside are away toBuchanhaven Hearts in the McBookie.com First Division East, with a 6.45pm kick-off.
On Saturday they are at home to Spey Valley in Grill League Cup action once again with a 2pm kick-off.
