Buchanhaven Hearts had Glentanar as visitors in a Division 1 match onSaturday and were hoping to put last week’s disappointment behind them and get back to winning ways.

Both teams were finding it hard to get any momentum early on and Hearts’ Davidson got himself into a good position but overhit his cross with Norris waiting at the back post. Glentanar hit back and Walker headed agains the post from a Dines free kick.

Hearts’ Ryan Cameron got through after a good ball from Dvidson but he couldn’t convert past McAskill and the chance was gone.

Hearts took the lead with a fine goal. They worked the ball well down the left and Norris picked out Ryan Cameron who nipped in front of the Glentanar defence to head past McAskill.

Hearts came out in the second half looking to extend their lead but almost conceded the equaliser when slack play from a throw-in saw Morrison hit a good effort which McDonald saved well.

Hearts almost made it 2-0 when a Davidson cross was headed goalwards by Ligertwood but Cruickshank blocked on the goal line.

Hearts made the game safe when Ligertwood burst into the box and was taken down by Charltwon. A penalty was awarded and Ligertwood scored from the spot.

Their next game is at home to Aberdeen University with a 2pm kick-off.
