Goal-fest for teams

In the North East Timber Supplies Buchan League at the weekend, Dales FC entertained Peterhead Pensioners.

This was expected to be a close affair and was proved right with the home side taking all three points in a 1-0 win which gave the home side their first points of the season. Scoring the only goal of the game was Sean Adams.

Panasonic entertained Cuminestown in their league game and the home side were on top form scoring seven goals without reply.

Glenugie United faced Longside Thistle and there were no goals in the first half but the away side struck first when Michael Murray netted.

The home side hit back with a 25-yard screamer from Scott Phillips and the same player gave them the lead.

Scott Davidson drew Longside back on level terms but Glenugie were not to be denied as a brace from Philip Robertson gave them a deserved three points.

And they did just that with a 3-1 victory. Goal scorers for Balmoor were Mark Walker with a brace and one from Gary Milne and for the away side was Grant Taylor.
