Ally Gilchrist’s loan to Peterhead has been extended and he will now be with the club until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old defender has been on loan from St Johnston since the summer, and has played in 21 matches so far.
Gilchrist, who recently scored the winner at Airdrie, had been due to return to McDiarmind Park this month.
Blue Toon manager Jim McInally was delighted that Gilchrist will stay at the club longer, and added that hopes to make a new signing while the transfer window is open.
“Ally’s deal has now been extended until the end of the season, which is great news for us and we will try and get one more defender,” he said.
“I would rather stay away from a loan if we could and I will see if anyone becomes available.”
