Longside had Dyce Juniors as visitors on Saturday in the PMAC group Superleague. Dyce had a great chance in their first attack when Murray sent over a superb cross for Steven Bartlett but he headed the ball over the bar from six yards.

The home side forced a corner, Daniel sent over a good delivery but the ball was scrambled clear. Mark Bartlett had a good chance from a Murray cross but he sent his header wide.

Bartlett made a good run to get on the end of a McNamee cross but his shot was deflected for a corner. Murray’s kick eventually fell to Mark Bartlett but he fired the ball wide. A Gordon shot on the turn was well saved by MacDonald.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 35th minute when Adam McNamee found himself in the clear, MacDonald did well to save his first shot but he followed up to score.

They doubled their advantage just before half time when A McNamee cross found Scott Burke at the back post and he made no mistake from six yards.

In the second half Longside had a glorious chance to pull a goal back when Little got on the end of a terrific free kick from Buchan but he headed the ball wide.

Longside made a change when Wallace replaced the injured Butcher.

Another superb free kick from Buchan was scrambed clear. Dyce scored a third in 63 minutes when Little was caught in possession and Mark Bartlett ran through to slip the ball past MacDonald. Minutes later Duncan was replaced by Tait. Davidson replaced Daniel in 74 minutes. A Gordon pass was intercepted by Donaldson with Steven Bartlett ready to intercept.

More disappointment for Longside but again they played some good stuff but failed to convert chances into goals and this puts even more pressure onto the defence.

This Saturday they are at home to Hall Russell United in the PMAC Group Superleague (kick-off 1.30pm).
