First game free in six-a-side league

THE six-a-side football league which is held at Peterhead’s Catto Park Astroturf on Sundays and Wednesdays, is giving away a free game for any new team interested in joining to trial the league to see if they enjoy it before signing up.

The league is operated by Soccersixes which is the largest provider of six-a-side leagues and the league runs in association with the SFA. It is run every week and all equipment is provided by the organisers along with the referee etc.

Scotland Leagues league manager Chris Sockett said: “Our leagues are usually full with teams on the waiting list. With it being the summer a lot of people on holidays a few teams have had to pull out and currently the league now has a space in.

“As we want to get the league filled up as it will be better and more competitive for our current teams we thought we would offer the next new teams that join this season a free game.”

The free game will be given away to the next team that join and will be based on first come, first served basis. Teams wanting to sign up and get the game free can register online at
