Buchanhaven Hearts took on Bridge of Don Thistle at the weekend in a Division 1 match.

The home side was looking to take their unbeaten run in the league to six games.

On a rain-sodden day, Raemoss Park was in excellent condition and Hearts started well when Jordan Clark had a good run down the left, but his cross was just missed by Cameron.

Hearts kept up the pressure and good play between Cameron and Ligertwood saw the latter just shoot wide.

Bridge of Don hit on the counter and McDonald had a good save to stop them taking the lead.

Ligertwood had a great chance to put Hearts ahead when Davidson put him through on goal but he carried the ball too far and the chance was lost.

Hearts took the lead their play deserved when a Davidson corner wasn’t cleared and Lewis Brown shot through a ruck of players and into the net to put Hearts 1-0 up.

They kept up the pressure and Alex Davidson made a great run through the middle only to be stopped by a good tackle from Herbie Craik.

Jordan Clark then hit a great shot which was blocked by Galashan.

The rain ceased at the start of the second half and Hearts kept up the pressure.

The Bridge of Don goalkeeper saved well from a Ryan Cameron shot.

Sime then headed a Davidson corner just wide from a good position.

Hearts’ Norris then tried a shot from 20 yards and wasn’t far away.

Hearts made it 2-0 when the ball worked its way to Ryan Cameron who turned his marker and shot past the Bridge of Don goalkeeper.

Bridge of Don tried to get back into the game and McDonald pulled off a good save from Megginson.

Hearts subbed Kennedy for Clark. Norris should have made it 3-0 when good footwork in the box saw him make space, but he shot just wide.

Bridge of Don had a wee spell of pressure but simpson and Keith coped with the attacks well.

Hearts changed Davidson with Tait and Danton for Ligertwood.

Tait almost got on the scoresheet, but his attempted effort just scraped the bar.

Hearts finished well on top and had a couple of chances which were missed.

HEARTS: McDonald, Sime, Brown, Keith, Simpson, Davidson, Norris, Donaldson, Cameron, Ligertwood, Clerk. Subs: Tait, Duncan, Kennedy, Danton.
