The visitors forced a corner early on, which was easily cleared by the Bay defence, and then Findlay headed over from a free kick on the left.
The Bay went ahead after five minutes; Reid set up Ramsay on the left and the latter put in a cross from which Findlay fired in. It was blocked by the defence but Staintion was on hand to hammer the ball home.
The Bay were well on top, but were just unable to apply the killer touch.
However, this changed just before half time when a Sime header was headed out for a corner and from this Mair powered home a header which gave McKinnon now chance
The Bay went onto the attack from the restart but it was Thomson for the visitors who had a chance after he had latched onto the ball on the edge of the area; once again the effort was wide.
The Bay went further ahead after 58 minutes when Ramsay collected the ball in midfield and then put Reid free, the latter putting the ball into the net via McKinnon’s outstretched arm.
Two minutes later they went further ahead when Mais powered home another header from a Ramsay corner.
Findlay then tried a shot, but this tamely through to McKinnon.
The latter did get on the scoresheet after 65 minutes, when he headed home following a Mair free kick.
The visitors had a chance when Glendinning mistimed his clearance and the ball went to Predell, but Buchan was again out to save at his feet.
McKinnon again saved Whitehills when got down quickly to save from Stainton following good work by Ramsay.
In a rare attack by the visitors J. Watt put an effort over from the edge of the box, but the home side completed the scoring when Reid scored from ten yards following further good work by Ramsay on the left.
This was a good all-round performance by the Bay and they thoroughly deserved their victory.
