Peterhead’s Dales Park School football gala proved to be a huge success this year.

Organisers have thanked all the teams, coaches and families who turned up on the day to support the annual event.

Thanks were also expressed to the head teacher of Dales Park, all the school staff, referees and parent helpers who made sure everything ran smothly.

Special thanks were given to Peterhead FC player Dean Cowie for giving up his time to hand out trophies to all age groups, for refereeing on the day and for signing hundreds of autographs for some very excited children and mums.

“His attendance on the day really made our gala extra special,” they added.

There was plenty of very good football on display during the tournament and the sunshine turned up to make for an excellent day.

Winners on the day were as follows:

P1-3 - Clerkhill Rovers; runners-up - Central Cubs.

Scott Harris Memorial Salver winners - Dales Park Dynamos.

P4-5 winners - Clerkhill Cobras; runners-up - Buchanhaven Bullets.

P6-7 winners - Dales Park United; runners-up - Burnhaven Vipers.
