The New Deer Young Farmers Club held their second meeting of the syllabus in New Deer Public Hall recently.
This was a ‘surprise’ meeting and turned out to be a whist night.
Members were shown how to play the game and had a mini tournament, all practice for the New Deer Clark Shield Whist night to be held on Friday, April 22.
They also presented a cheque for £800 to Wayne Stewart and Tanya Michie, ambassadors of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) in memory of past member, Gary Stewart.
The club have donated £800 to the New Deer Agricultural Association too as a token for all their help over the years.
Money was raised by holding a barndance at the New Deer Showpark in September.
The next club meeting will be a split meeting on Tuesday, April 12, contact Claire (email@example.com) for more information.
