A section of the A90 north of Boddam is set to benefit from £122,000 resurfacing improvements starting on Thursday.
The overnight improvements will address any potholes or cracks in the road and create a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
The resurfacing works will begin on Thursday, March 16 and are programmed to take place over four nights between 7:30pm and 6:30am only, finishing at 6.30am on Thursday, March 23. No works shall take place overnight on Friday 17, Saturday 18 or Sunday 19 March to avoid disruption to motorists on the busier weekend nights.
A 10mph convoy system will be in place during the overnight works to ensure the safety of the work force and the travelling public during the improvements.
Consultation has taken place with local residents in advance of the resurfacing to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements and to minimise any inconvenience.
Commenting on the improvements, Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative, said: “These works have been designed to improve the general condition and safety of this section of the A90 for motorists.
“The resurfacing improvements have been scheduled to take place overnight to limit any impact to motorists, and we’ve taken steps to avoid working at the weekend to further reduce any disruption during the works.
"We would however encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
