Banff and Buchan College is hosting a two-day science extravaganza as part of the British Science Festival, Aberdeen 2012.
Explosive activities and interactive workshops will provide up to 900 school pupils from Aberdeenshire an insight into the fascinating world of science, engineering and technology.
The Fraserburgh campus will become one gigantic virtual laboratory on the 5th and 6th September as students get hands-on with diverse and exciting subject areas such as turning potatoes into plastic and creating an artwork from cells seen through a microscope.
“This event is designed to stimulate interest in science and inspire S2 – S3 year students,” says David Cook, assistant principal: Business and Skills.
“We have worked closely with the British Science Organisation to provide an imaginative programme for schools and both dates are almost fully booked.”
