Peterhead Prince’s Trust Team 32 have been busy decorating two different projects at once for the first time.

The Buchanie went along to The Trading Post’s new Marischal Street community gift and information shop on Friday, March 7 where Team 32 have been hard at work.

The group have been helping to decorate the premises and furniture as part of their community project.

Karen Brown from Peterhead Projects said: “They have been here for the past week and they just gotten stuck in and have really taken the work in their stride.

“Thanks to all their work, we are further on than we had originally planned.”

The new Trading Post shop aims to promote local traders, inventors and innovators.

Along with the Trading Post, Team 32 have also been decorating Peterhead’s Learning House.

Prince’s Trust team leader, Bryan Mackay said: “The skills our members are learning through this will be invaluable for their upcoming work placements.”

Karen added: “There is a great amount of team work here and no one has been disrespectful.

“Peterhead Projects have had a good partnership with Prince’s Trust for the past two and a half years and for us the impact of Team 32 here has been tremendous, especially because we are on a very tight budget and timescale.”

The Trading Post will host its grand opening on Saturday, March 29 from 9am to 5pm.
