A presentation was held for 11 young people who successfully completed a 12 week programme, delivered by Aberdeen Foyer, in partnership with Aberdeen College.
The presentation evening at Peterhead’s Palace Hotel, held as both a celebration and graduation on Thursday, August 29 was the very last challenge for Team 30.
Over the course of the evening, team members explained to the audience what they had been involved in and also shared their own personal achievements.
Certificates were presented by Brenda Campbell and Lena Levy, members of The Central Buchan Rotary Club who in week nine of the 12 week course, conducted mock interviews with team members.
Over the 12 weeks, the team completed a five day outward bounds course in Cromdale and painted four large mural boards for pupils at Buchanhaven Primary School.
To raise the money needed for the mural project, the team held a bag pack at Asda as well as a bingo tea.
In weeks seven and eight, each team member completed a work placement with employers including Norlin Autobody, Jamie’s Italian and Trump International Golf Links.
At the end of the course, team members also gained nationally recognised qualifications and successfully passed both Emergency First Aid at Work and Elementary Food Hygiene short courses.
