The New Deer Young Farmers Club managed to put the biggest smile on Freddie MacLeod’s face with the delivery of a ride on a John Deere tractor last weekend.
Local businesses around New Deer and Maud pulled together to raise money for a wheelchair for Freddie’s twin sister Jessica, who suffers from emerging cerebral palsy.
Her new set of wheels enables her to sit up unaided and see exactly what is going on around her.
Of course, Freddie couldn’t be left out, so the New Deer Young Farmers Club had heard he is a massive tractor fan, so they decided to give him his very own tractor, loader and trailer.
The New Deer Young Farmers Club have managed to raise money for Freddie’s tractor through holding an annual barndance, this year to be held on Saturday, September 24 at the New Deer Showpark.
