The sun shone and crowds flocked to the 21st Buchanhaven Charity Harbour Open Day last weekend.
There were a host of stalls and entertainments provided throughout the day, with those attending also enjoying the unfamiliar sight of the sun.
And combined with the smell of freshly cooked kippers, burgers and pancakes, it proved to be a hit with all who went along.
Buchanhaven Harbour chairman Arthur James, told the Buchanie:
“I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped on the day and who helped in the planning of the event.
“It’s a lot of work but it’s well worth it. I just hope everyone had a great day out whether it be down for a kipper fae George Wyllie and Stanley Forman or a trip out on the boat or just to sit down and have a cup of tea and a fancy piece.
“The Buchan Queen and princesses were also down and presented vouchers to George Wyllie, to mark his retirement from the committee, and a bouquet of flowers to his wife Janette.
“The committee would like to thank them both for all the hard work they’ve put in over the years.
“I’d also like to thank Love RaRa, who had the characters on the day, and Ronnie Arthur/Buchan Community Radio for the music and announcements .
“Above all I’d like to thank everyone who supported us as if it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t be able to do this every year and raise a lot of money for Buchanhaven Pier and local charities.”
