Stacey Pratt is one step closer to her dream of becoming a music journalist after graduating from Robert Gordon University recently.
Stacey, who is from Peterhead but lives in Aberdeen, gained a degree in Media after completing the 2+2 route with Aberdeen College.
She completed her HND in Media before joining RGU in third year to complete her honours degree.
She told the Buchan Observer: “I chose the Media course as I have always been passionate about writing and have hopes to go into journalism.
“I felt a degree that goes into the wider aspects of the media would be a good foundation for achieving this.
“I enjoyed the course a lot. The modules were extremely interesting and were not subjects I would initially have thought of this way or looked at on my own,” she said.
“Although I was hesitant at first about joining the course half way through it, everyone was very welcoming. The whole experience was great and I’ve made some good friends, as well as gaining the experience and qualifications to help with the future.”
Stacey said the high from her time at university was gaining confidence in her abilities, along with the student social life.
After graduation, Stacey hopes to complete her masters in Journalism at RGU.
“My dream is to go into music journalism, to combine my two passions and have a job I will truly enjoy,” she said.
Stacey’s dream job is to work for Kerrang! Or Rock Sound.
